TPE Ground Level Pneumatic Purge Weighed Admixture Dispenser
Pneumatic Purge Dispensers
This modular system is capable of processing up to 8 admixtures through 1 or 2 x 50KG stainless steel weigh hoppers that can all be accommodated within the galvanised steel enclosure. This is suitable for virtually any larger concrete production facility.
Note: Additional admixtures can be added to the same system, bringing the total capacity to 24 admixtures. 16 pumps would be housed in a separate enclosure with feeds to the existing system to upgrade the system to 24 pumps.
Operating Principle
The required quantity of admixture/s is pumped into the weigh hoppers.
The single discharge signal opens the valves on the bottom of the hoppers and activates the discharge pumps, which draw the product out of the hoppers and force it along the discharge pipes towards the plant.
When sufficient time for a full hopper to almost empty has passed, a flush of water will follow the admixture through the hoppers and discharge pumps.
The valves on the bottom of the hoppers close and the discharge pumps stop.
After a momentary pause, the discharge pumps are charged with a purge of air which clears the pumps and pipe work to the plant.
Note: The discharge flush water quantity is adjustable and quantifiable for quality purposes and can be as little as 1 litre.
Safeguards/ Advantages
Mains voltage = 110V/ 230V AC. All valves and pumps are controlled by 24V DC.
Air is regulated and used well within pump/ valve manufacturer’s recommendations.
High quality fittings, pipe work and components are used throughout.
Upper level overfill switches are fitted and linked to the control system. The chassis is bunded to contain any potential leaks and a liquid sensor is fitted to stop the system should a leak occur.
All incoming product is filtered twice and passes through a non-return valve and an air actuated spring return ball valve.
Each line can be isolated to enable filter removal.
To maintain constant uniform clean flush water pressures a separate water tank has been supplied which is fed by the plant water supply through a ball cock and float.
For high dose products, two fill pumps can be used to feed the same product into both hoppers, doubling the fill speed.
System is easily upgradable and expandable, cost effectively.
It can easily be refurbished and relocated
Less pipe work at height to the mixer area
Material enters the mixer under pressure
Simple ground level waist height calibration
Easy cost free product trialling: To perform a trial, simply pour the required quantity of admixture into the hopper and press
discharge. The material will be sent to the mixer and the system will automatically clean itself. Can be integrated into all systems.
